Suwannee Amateur Radio Club Minutes Sept 4, 2012


Tom reported that there was $895.42 in the treasurery.

The 50/50 drawing of $68.00 was won by Don.

Dan and Jamie were nominated for the office of club president.

Dan was elected club president.

Unfinished business
Steve announced that a club workshop will be held on September 18th at 19519 78th terrace live Oak Florida.   Future workshops will be discussed and scheduled at each monthly club meeting.

New business
Cookout at Tom's house will be in October.  It was decided that the cookout would start at or about 4:00pm.

A motion was made and seconded to use treasury funds up to $100 to fund the cookout, plus each attendee would donate $5 dollars.  Final plans for the cookout will be made at the October meeting.

MISSION: Facilitate and promote the participation of Amateur Radio operators in the Suwannee Valley area to provide supplemental communications for public service agencies responding to disasters affecting said area.

VISION: SARC is committed to creating a sustainable organization in the Suwannee Valley dedicated to providing auxiliary communications services in time of emergency and coordinated through the support of the various county emergency management offices. It is SARC's intent to facilitate the recruitment of new communications resources and coordinate and train existing communications resources.


Next meeting to be held on Oct 2 at Beaver Trucking.
