ARES / WinLink2000 Webinar
« on: April 17, 2012, 09:03:52 PM »
This is reposted from an E-mail I received from Tampa Amateur Radio Club.  I thought some of you with digital capabilities might be interested.

(Note: look closely, the time is in CDT, not EST.  I missed it the first time I read it.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All,
On Tuesday, April 24th at 8:00 PM CDT, Phil Sherrod, w4phs, aar4mx, of our Winlink development team, will present the recent changes/expansions in Winlink 2000 topology and the enhancements provided for EmComm.  This will provide detail on the "Service Code" and "radio only" options along with detail on features that now support enhanced EmComm capabilities.

Dave Scolnick, Ko4mi, will speak about his experiences regarding the value of Winlink 2000 to Maritime Hams for their safety and well-being while on the High Seas.

Please join us for these presentations.  Register using the URL: www.atldiv.org/training

The process is very easy to use.

As background, take a look at Page 40, MAY QST, at the multi-page article regarding the use of RMS Express and WINMOR. This article was written BEFORE many of the expansions to be discussed.

Even Google gmail has figured out that CW is faster than typing... too funny.

This is actually something that came out of Japan about 3 years ago called the "Clic" I believe.
